What Moves You?

Fear, Unknown
I had said something I should never have said. My husband frowned because I had not spoken in faith. “Don’t jump at every little thing”, he responded.

“Dear Lord, forgive my unbelief”. I went into the bedroom and said some silent prayers.

How could I say, “I paid attention to my body”.

Was I entertaining ill-health rather than faith?

Don’t get me wrong here. I was reacting based on my feelings.  This was a moment of vulnerability allowing fear to tiptoe in.

While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.                                                                                                               2 Corinthians 4:18
What we see is important and let me ask something very important here

What do you see?

What do you see in that situation?

What we see moves us and that is why we need to put on the eyes of faith and not our feelings because our feelings get in the way.

For you to walk in faith, your feelings need to take a back seat.

Always remember that God is in charge and He will work with our faith. Our feelings can be destructive.

Our feelings can only speak what they perceive in the physical. But we are spiritual beings and must understand spiritual laws and operate in the spiritual.

Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.  But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
1 Corinthians 2:13 -14

We don’t walk by sight because Christ is our way-maker.
(For we walk by faith, not by sight:) 2 Corinthians 5:7

We don’t get moved by that doctor’s report because Jesus is the Balm in Gilead (Jeremiah 8:22)

We don’t jump when we see the storm because He who is with us is the Storm-calmer (Mark 4:39)

We don’t fret when we are hungry or naked because the Lord is our refuge and satisfies daily with His benefits (Psalm 68:9).

We don’t panic when evil seem to triumph over good, because the righteous judge is on His throne and will not ever leave His place (Ecclesiastes 3: 17).

We are not afraid when our enemies rush in an attempt to consume us because the Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard (Isaiah 59: 19).

Join me, declare....
I don’t pay attention to my body, Lord I pay attention to your word.

I don’t pay attention to the sickness, Lord I pay attention to your healing.

I don’t pay attention to my broken state I pay attention to the wholeness that you give me.

I don’t pay attention to emptiness I pay attention to the fruitful name you have called me.

I don't pay attention to ______

I am not moved, Lord, No Father.

I am only moved by Your Faithful and Unfailing Word.

Amen!

So, don’t let what situation you are in move in allow God’s Word permeate into your heart and saturate into your life and fill you.

By His Great Grace,

Ifeoma Samuel
