There Is No Season of Death! by Natalie Abrahams

I was sitting and reminiscing on my life one cold winter day the Holy Spirit whispered to my heart, “There is no season of Death”.   Outside was the bitter cold with no sign of the once beautiful green grass and flower beds.
May be you don’t like the winter but I am an absolute.

Something fun about me you may not know is I was named after a popular childhood character “Heidi” and in case you don’t know “Heidi” was a mountain girl who lived with her Granddad.

I also go by, “Natalie” meaning “Born at Christmas”.
“Christmas” in the US and Europe is associated with cold weather and lots of snow.
So you see my names already gave precedence to my love and favorite things.
*wink*
One of my favorite holiday destinations is the Drakensberg Mountains in South Africa.  Besides the absolutely beautiful scenery, I love the peace and tranquility that one experiences there.

We usually go in winter, when everything dies in preparation for new birth. The contrast that the natural habitat has in this season is absolutely breathtaking.  I have captured a few pictures on my camera that looks like a painting.
Too beautiful to be real.
This is a natural beauty that God has graced us with.  We do not have to do anything to create this beauty, nature creates it herself.

Bible Reading:  Ecclesiastes 3: 1-8

In the same vein, our lives we go through different seasons in order,

for us to bear great fruit.

for to become the beautiful flowers He has created us to be

for our good fruit to produce more seeds so the cycle goes on.

We will die or become ineffective if we remain in the same season for too long.
We are seeds which need planting, watering, nurturing, and care in order to bear fruit that will be food and which will bear more seeds.

It’s so ironic that seeds that grow into trees or plants that bear fruits must be planted in winter or dry season.

During this season we continue to nurture the ground and water the seeds we don’t see until a stem comes through the ground, giving us hope that life is born from nothing (Genesis1:27-28)

When we see the stem, we do not stop nurturing and caring for the plant, because in due time it will start to bloom.
Once we see the blossoms, we take extra special care of the plant because we want it to good bear good fruit or pretty flowers.   All this happens over a cycle of a year, passing through each season of the year.

Unfortunately, this process will become insignificant if one season is passed through without special care.

We don’t start planting seeds when we see our neighbor’s trees bear fruit.  We start planting when our vineyards seem dry and dead…that is the perfect time to start planting.

So I don’t for happiness to come to me. I create it.  I don’t want for peace to consume my life, I create it.  I don’t want for patience to live within me, I create it.  I don’t wait for success, joy, love, kindness, etc to come to me, I create it.

Everything we go through in life is absolutely essential for what lies ahead.  What you do in your “winter” will determine the fruits you eat in your “summer”.

God has set all things aside for us, what we do with it is our gift back to God.  We are already all that He is.  Therefore, know that you already have overcome all this.  His blood has been shed for us already.

In order for “YOU” to become the best “YOU” for the work He set out for you, you need to embrace every season in my life with thanksgiving and with boldness.

Do not succumb your drought, you must nurture more in this season so that the harvest you produce bears good fruit in due season.

You cannot skip any season.  Every season is absolutely essential for what lies ahead.
In each season there is work to do.
We must do the work.
We must     plant,
nurture,
water,
plough,
and take care of our seeds so that when they come forth they shall bring with them a great harvest.

There is no season of death.  NONE.  Embrace every season in your life.
James 1: 2-4

Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters,[a] whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. James1:2-4
Remember that today’s flowers were planted in a different season.

You don’t plough and harvest in one season.

To everything there is a time.

Embrace this season in your life.

Shape your tomorrow.

Do not sit around and die.

When you start moving, God moves with you.
