And when Jesus had cried
with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit:
and having said thus, he gave up the ghost
Luke 23:46
Do you know what I am pondering? What were the feelings of those
who were with Jesus when He was betrayed?
Let us walk through experiences of Jesus’ disciples and the women during
the whole process of His capture.
From The Garden of Gethsemane,
Pilate's court---the beating
Via Dolorosa--humiliation
They must have been
clouded with discouragement, disillusionment They were probably despondent and depressed
Their story seemed ended
The curtain fell on
them
Their show ended
Hold on,
Its not over,
Their tide was about to turn
JESUS is the never-ending story
No!
The Curtain ripped from the Roof to the floor
Even Jesus in the fourth and fifth
word found himself in a desperate situation
However, He kept focused on the turn of His tide
In the sixth Word, in His conversation, His tide turned ---
I have brought you glory on earth by finishing the work you gave me
to do --John17 : 4
When Jesus committed His spirit into the Father’s hand--His tide
turned.
He occupied Prime position on the right hand of God, the Father
All minus turned to plus
All humiliation into glory
As we battle
the test and challenges of this life,
We need our tide to turn in our finances
We need our tide to turn in our marriage
We need our tide to turn in our spiritual lives
We need our tide to turn in the job.
Some
of us battle with unforgiveness and resentment, your tide can turn
Hold on,
keep on keeping on, your tide will turn.
Do not give up; keep your eyes fixed on the Author and the
Finisher of our faith (2 Corinthians 4:8-9)
Remember the woman with issue of blood, twelve years of suffering,
her tide turned
Just like Job, let us say, “Though He slay me, yet will I trust
Him.
Here is the good news today,
Our God is a Tide-Turning
God
We are
God’s Children,
Let us…
Love
Him,
Serve
Him,
And
seek Him with all of our hearts,
The
Lord will make a way for you.
God will open doors that no man can close.
He’ll part the Red Sea back up the Jordan River in a heap.
He’ll bring down the walls of Jericho.
He’ll shut the mouths of lions.
He’ll open prison doors.
Our God will turn your
tide in Jesus Name
The
only weapon or strategy that we have in turning our tide, is HIS Word
1)
Remember God’s Promise: I will never
leave nor forsake you
2) There is Power of Praises
Paul and Silas trapped in the inner prison --amid their miserable
situation --starting praise and worship in the midnight hour Acts 16:25
Scripture Nuggets
1) Isaiah 54:17
2) James 4:7
3) Jeremiah 29:11-13
Our daily prayer as we step into our tide turning
Thank you Lord for Your Favour , Your Presence , Your Provision ,
Your protection
Thank You Lord for good
health ,victory , exaltation , productiveness and prosperity
