The thought of dancing in the rain already
brings some restoration to my mind. The sound of the rain drops falling to the
ground and running down my face and body.
What a refreshing thought!
I envision myself dancing around while the raindrops
are falling on my body. I can almost
smell the ground and grass around me.
The rain brings out the most amazing
fragrances from the earth and our habitat.
Why
do I love to dance in the rain?
Why
do I seem relieved by the rain?
At some point in our lives, we all go
through trying times. It is natural. In fact, God’s Word reminds us that we
are blessed when we face trials and tribulations.
Even though I walk through the valley of
the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me, your rod and
your staff, they comfort me. Psalm 23; 4
During our storms, it may not seem that way,
but God is not a man that He should lie.
Sometimes, our storm is a quick one that
comes without warning and passes just as quickly. Often, we don’t have enough time to prepare
for the quick storm. It is a ‘just storm’
to quickly refresh the earth (our souls).
Consider it pure joy, my brothers,
whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of
your faith develops perseverance.
Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete,
not lacking anything. James 1:2-4
Other times, when we see the storm brewing,
we have time to prepare for the storm.
The storm usually influences our
lives.
The storm tests our faith and
perseverance.
We can also become impatient when it drags
on for too long and without any known reason.
For many, the storm we face seems
unending. So much so, that it challenges our thinking
and reasoning.
But
every rain drop,
Blesses the crops on our farms,
Purifies the air we breathe,
Fills up the rivers,
Is absolute a necessity for our beautiful
environment.
In the same way, trials are essential for
our growth and wellbeing.
It helps us to depend on God as our
provider, protector, redeemer, savior, helper, comforter, healer, etc.
When we face trying times, we are
challenged to think and act differently.
It helps us to grow, spiritually, mentally
and emotionally.
As we continue on this journey and unlock
new dimensions of our journey, we are challenged to sharpen ourselves for a
brighter future.
Blessed is the man who [perseveres under
trial, because when he has stood the test of time he will receive the crown of
life that God has [promised to those who love him. James 2:12
At times, we may feel that life deals us
unfair cards, but the reality is.
To whom much is given (gifts and calling from
God) much is expected.
You will never get more than you can
handle.
And yes, sometimes we feel as though we
have too much on our plate.
But,
You are equipped for this journey.
You are already an overcomer.
God's grace that covers you
His grace is activated by your faith.
He has already graced you for this journey.
For it is by grace you have been saved,
through faith- and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God- not by
works so that no one can boast. Ephesians 2- 8-9
Are going through a tough difficult time, it
is time to dance your way through.
