LET US PRAY Day 2 by Stephane
Devotions
A
couple of weeks ago, I visited the mall. I couldn’t help but notice how people
hurried about their businesses. As I made my way to the park station, a
particular young man caught my attention.
We
began chatting about how he became a chauffeur for school kids. Within me, I knew
he was too young to be hanging around this place. I was moved with compassion
as he shared his story. Orphaned early due to gun violence, he had a rough time
through high school. A more twist in his life is his baby girl. He told me he had lost all hope of a brighter
future and everything he worked for was for his girl.
There
are many people who do not know where they are going and are lost in their own
tracks. Some not by their own choices but many others due to wrong decisions are
headed for that path of destruction.
There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the
end thereof are the ways of death Proverbs 16:25
Someone needs your prayers, someone needs your word of hope and encouragement
and more than anything someone needs to know about the love of Jesus Christ.
Please let
us join Stephane for today’s prayers.
Prayer Point # 1
Pray
for the unsaved, the unloved, the unwanted of this world.
Father God, help us to remember daily the
sufferings, the pain and the persecutions that are taking place each and every
day. Father we lift up those who do not know You, who have fallen from Your
grace, who have turned away from the peace and the hope that You have offered
them.
Father, if there is a woman who is reading this who does not know
You, it is our prayer that through Your words she will open her heart to You,
that she would feel Your presence in the depths of her heart and that she too
would come to know the riches of Your salvation which You have given us in
Jesus Christ our Lord.
Father, I pray
that right now she would know that she is loved, no matter what she has done,
or how far she feels she has fallen, Father God, You are running to her with
open arms.
Father
I pray she would look up and see her Salvation in Jesus Christ today. May all
the glory, the power, and the honor of these words and of this life be Yours
and Yours alone. In Jesus Christ name we do pray. Amen and Amen.
Prayer
Point # 2
“I
therefore, a prisoner of the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called,” Ephesians 4:1
Lord,
remind us that when we walk, You walk with us. What we watch, You watch with
us. Turn our eyes from evil things. What we experience, You experience, for You
are ever with us.
Help
us to walk with a heart that seeks to please You and give us strength to
complete the work which You have placed before us. As wives, as mothers, as
sisters, as married, as single, as career women, as students, as servants, may
our hope and our calling be in the knowledge that You came and You died for
each one of us. Our
hope, our calling, all our worth is in You, Lord Jesus. May we live that example out before the world around
us.
Prayer
Point # 3
“with
all humility, and gentleness, with patience bearing one another in love" Ephesians 4:2
Give
us love, O Lord, not a human love, but a spiritual love for one another. As you laid down
Your life for us, even while we were yet sinners, You bled and died for us, let
us too remember this truth as we learn to live and love others.
Just
as You bore with our sins until the day of Jesus Christ, teach us to be patient
with one another, bearing one another as You have shown us. Teach us what it means
to be a living sacrifice.
Prayer
Point # 4
“eager
to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.”
Ephesians 4:3
May
we be one, just as You are One. You are the Father, the Son and the Spirit,
dwelling and living in unity. Give us hearts to lay aside all grievances, hurts, prejudices
and see past the man on the outside, and instead, choose to see Jesus Christ
and Him crucified.
He
died for me, He died for you, and He died for all. Give us eager hearts to
choose peace rather than hate. Give us eager hearts to choose unity rather than
distance, not for our sakes but for the sake of Jesus Christ who gave His life
for every single soul upon this earth.
