Day 6
Devotions: When it’s hard to pray
Sometimes
ago, I felt weighed down by tons of issues that needed to get sort out. Worrying
instead of praying over these situations soon crept in. I was struggling with
my prayer life.
Praying
in difficult times becomes tedious when all seem to be hopeless before our
eyes. It is hard to bear in the face of dire conditions but we do not give up
but rather are encouraged with His words the he will never leave us nor forsake
us (Deuteronomy 31:6 ).
If you
feel the pressure of life crushing you down, it is the right time to find solace
in the arms of our Father.
He knows our pain,
sorrows, he feels what we feel.
For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling
of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.
Hebrews 4:15
When it’s hard to pray, try singing some hymns
or play some CDs until the words start to mumble. The words may not come out right
at first but we can rely on the Holy Spirit as our helper.
Be not afraid God, is well able to see us through.
Our afflictions will make our faith stronger. More important God will come
through for us because He is faithful.
There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God
is faithful, who will not
suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation
also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
1Corinthians 10:13
Pain,
sorrows and suffering may be in form of sickness whether chronic or terminal
diseases or whatever name it is called.
Join us as we pray for all those who
lay in pain of sickness and those believing God for fruitfulness in their
bodies
Prayer
Focus #1
Lord
with our hearts full of compassion we pray for all those who lay under the pain
of sickness and disease.
Lord let your healing flow into all those who look up
to you in faith. Lord let there be an outpouring of your healing in Jesus Name.
Prayer
Focus #2
Lord
just as Hannah prayed, there are so many women including our friends, families
and those who live around us who yearn for their own babies. We lift them up in
prayers and join our faith to theirs. Dear Lord, in your mercy, visit them and
let there be testimonies in Jesus Name.
Lord,
encourage all who are going through miscarriages, ectopic pregnancies, cystic
conditions, fibroid etc. Let them find comfort in your words and healing they
need in Jesus Name.
