Day 25
Invest
Joy in Others.
As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of
the household of faith.
Galatians 6:10
You can’t have a
joyful life and not spread it. Now you are living a joyful life, you realize
that it spreads. The joy in your heart can overflow into the lives of those
around you.
Make
someone else smile at any given opportunity. Take time to smile at the waiter, the kid standing next to you at the pay point, the secretary at the office, the
other driver at the traffic stop or other passengers in queue to catch a ride,
other customers at the coffee shop, etc.
Meet
others at their point of need. There is always
someone around you that sincerely needs your help, don’t shut your ears to the
need of others. When you see a need you can handle, step out of your comfort
zone.
Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when
it is in the power of thine hand to do it.
Proverbs 3:27
When you help others
in their time of need God will raise helpers when you need them. Like Dorcas in the bible, helping hands brought help her way. See more on this in The Dorcas Ministry.
Don’t be selfish. Selfish
people want everybody to notice when they are not fine, or when they look great
etc. Selfish people don’t give, they hoard. They hoard their love, money, time gifts and talents. When they give at all, they want to have something in return. People stay out
of a selfish person’s way.
The world
doesn’t have to revolve around you. Share, give and involve yourself in the
progress of others genuinely.
On a final note, What you sow is what you
reap. The seeds you sow now are more important than the ones you have sown in
the past. Sow seeds of joy, help, love etc. in the lives of people today.
