Purposeful and Meaningful: Compromising standards? When we ourselves become God's enemies

I couldn’t be guiltier myself. I speak with disgust for even myself for all the areas in my own personal life where I seem to have compromised.

We seem to live as to please people, act to receive praise from people, speak to receive approval from people. Enough of this entire charade, it’s time to stand for that which we know is the truth. The devil has charmed his way into the church.

Abominations are committed and the church, you and I look the other way.

As I prepared for this article, I went through a deep personal reflection. This worldly age of perversion rejection of the truth is makes shudder. Are we shifting standards to accommodate the world rather than the world changing its own standard to fit into God’s own?

I dug deep into the scriptures and found many places where conforming to the worldly standard was unacceptable.

2Corinthians 6:14-15 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?

This is an era of feminism, legalism, lesbianism and all the rest of the “–isms” that have crept into the church. The path of a Christian is not as easy as it is purported today. Many-a-believer are caught in this web of deceit and entanglement.

Picture this, you walk into a church having the pastor with dreadlocks, pierced ears, tattoos, heavy neck chains, shiny gold rings on his fingers, what is the first thing that crosses your mind?

You will think to yourself I must be in the wrong place.

In plain text the bible says in the following scriptures:

James 4:4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.

Exodus 23:2 Thou shalt not follow a multitude to do evil; neither shalt thou speak in a cause to decline after many to wrest judgment:

Leviticus18:22 Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.

Leviticus18:29-30 For whosoever shall commit any of these abominations, even the souls that commit them shall be cut off from among their people. Therefore shall ye keep mine ordinance, that ye commit not any one of these abominable customs, which were committed before you, and that ye defile not yourselves therein: I am the LORD your God.

There is no place for lesbians and gays and this entire sort of atrocities in the Kingdom of God, absolutely no place. It is an abomination before God. Christians don’t want to speak up any more. The bible says don’t join the multitude to do evil.
On no account should you pervert justice or refuse to speak the truth as it is written in the Holy Bible.

John 15:18-19 If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.

If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.

John 17:14 I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

The world should hate you if you are a true Christian. It is no surprise. It’s out in the open the world hates God and everything to do with him. When we compromise our faith, we put as selves as enemies of God.

1John 2:15-17 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

You cannot confess you love God and love the world at the same time. You cannot serve two masters.

Luke16:13 No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

I don’t want to be an enemy of God what about you? Jesus encourages us to endure till the end.

Matthew10:22 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.

A compromising Christian tries to sit on the fence but there is no fence in this business. It is either you are in or out. God has called us unto righteousness we are meant to be the light of the world. We should lead the way not follow the world.

For every persecution we face as believers are meant to strengthen us.

1Corinthians 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

I have seen many who started as fervent praying, spirit filled believers but along the way they lost it. I pray for every such person who is thinking of walking away, that God will show them mercy at such a time as this. This article is not meant for condemnation but a call to repentance.
